SINGLE WOMEN’S MINISTRY

HEPHZIBAH

The group was formed out of a vision to meet specific needs of unmarried ladies and also those ladies who are alone in their commitment to live for Christ. Our focus and attention is always on honoring our Savior, Jesus Christ.

SENIOR PASTORS

Pastor Carlos and Marylu Sorto reside in Long Island, NY. In September 17th, 1983 Pastor Carlos Sorto married his childhood sweetheart Marylu, with whom he has been married for 36 years.

Since Pastor Carlos was ordained a Minister in 1985, together with his wife have served the Lord by visiting jails and hospitals, bringing comfort, hope and strength to prisoners and sick people with the Word of God.

In February 1991, Pastors Carlos and Marylu Sorto founded the ministry “Centro Cristiano Renacer, Inc.” Where they have served God and our community for 28 years, and have seen the support and faithfulness of God prospering in His ministry.

God has blessed Pastors Sorto with three beautiful children, Damaris, Joanna and Jeremiah, who have grown up in the church where they have been instructed in the divine values. In September 2011, their oldest daughter married David Magaña and in September 2016 God blessed them with their first daughter, Ariana Pearl Magana and in January 2018 He blessed them again with their son Jesse Daniel Magana. They have demonstrated by their example what it means to be a family that loves and serves God.

YOUNG ADULTS

CHOSEN GENERATION

CCR’s ministry to Young Adults is for those ages 25-35, single people and married couples without children. Due to the wide range of people in this age category, Saul and Eyda Reyes and their leadership team, have designed a ministry that reaches out to everyone. You can also be a part of the full schedule of fun activities designed to create friendships, build community, and reach out to the lost.

MENS MINISTRY

The objective of Men’s Ministries is to disciple and equip the men of CCR in their roles as men of God. We seek to provide a venue for modeling the life of Christ to men. We seek to do this through teaching, fellowship, and service; so that men can grow in conformity to Christ, specifically in their roles as men. Led by Principal Pastor Carlos Sorto.

WOMENS MINISTRY

BIBLE SCHOOL OF SERVANTS

Our Bible School of Servants is a two year process that prepares and equips students to fulfill their God given purpose in their lives.

We provide a balance of theory (Bible based knowledge) and practice (Character based principles)

Our Bible School of Servants is structured as follows:

  • Post Encounter
    • We encourage every person that goes to an Encounter to take this class. In Post Encounter the student is shown the path to become a firm Christian. It includes lessons on who Jesus is, our relationship with Him, the Bible, Prayer, the church and more.
  • First Level
    • This class is centered on family roles and values, which is the most important thing for Christian living. Through this class we find out how to assume our responsibility to be the best family member as well as learn how to help others reach their full potential.
  • Second Level
    • This class demonstrates how important it is for every believer to have Spiritual Vision in their lives. The students have the opportunity to learn the tools that will help them succeed in catching the Vision of the ministry.
  • Third Level
    • The main focus of this class is the importance of the relationship with the Holy Spirit. Within this class the student will discover how to develop and maintain a personal relationship, by learning the fruits and gifts of the Spirit.
  • Fourth Level
    • In the last level of Bible School we will target character development, the importance of accountability, and the traits of servant hood.
PROPHETIC MINISTRY

Our Prophetic Ministry is about discovering identity, destiny and purpose. We are committed to teaching, equipping, and activating believers in prophetic ministry in the local church.

As part of our mission we provide the following workshops:

  • Ministering Spiritual Gifts (MSG)
    • The goal of MSG is to teach, train, activate, mentor, and mature the believers in the spiritual gifts.
  • School of the Holy Spirit
    • Its purpose is not only to share vital scriptural teachings concerning the gifts of the Spirit, but to advance God’s people out of the realm of theory and bring them into a living experiential reality of hearing God’s voice.
OUTREACH

FOOD PANTRY

At Reborn Christian Center we work in partnership with well established non-profit organizations in our community. Together, we feed the hungry and do our best to respond to the needs of people in crisis. Our church’s mission is to share with others in a generous way and serve others like Jesus did, when He was on this Earth.

KIDS GROUP

GENERATION OF IMPACT

Generation of Impact is the children ministry of Reborn Christian Center led by Pastors Olbin and Nora Hernandez. Generation of Impact is offered for children 6 weeks – 5th grade during every worship experience. From start to finish, we strive to make your families’ time with us a great experience! We seek to make this your child’s favorite day of the week. We use skilled volunteers, technology, fun activities, and excellent environments to communicate the timeless knowledge of our loving God. We believe this makes Generation of Impact a place your child will be begging you to bring them back to each week!

Our services consist of a high-energy corporate service followed by Children’s Growth Groups. In the small-group setting, children can connect with others their own age to discuss and learn how to apply the truths taught in the service.

OUR MISSION

Transform the families through the sound teaching of the Word of God to reach our current generation and the ones to come.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

DECLARATION OF FAITH

  1. We believe in the scriptures of the Old and New Testament as the inspired word of God, and that they are the final supreme authority of faith and life.
  2. (2ª Ti. 3:16-17, 1ª Co. 2:13)

  3. We believe in a God that exists eternally as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  4. (Dt. 6:4, Mt. 28:19, 1ª Jn. 5:7-8, 2ª Co. 13:14)

  5. We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born to a virgin named Mary and that He is God and man.
  6. (Is. 7:14, 9: 6, Lk. 1:26-35, Jn. 1:14)

  7. We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and therefore incurred spiritual death which is separation from God. That all humans are born sinners by nature and that they are morally responsible before God and man for their thoughts, words and sinful action.
  8. (Gn. 1:27, 2:16-17, 3:6, 24, Ro. 3:23, Rv. 20:12)

  9. We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures as a sacrifice and substitute, and everyone that believes in Him, is cleansed of sin by His blood and is justified through his resurrection.
  10. (Ro 4:25, Col. 2:14-15, Rv. 1:5)

  11. We believe in the physical resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ; His ascension to heaven and His eternal life in heaven as a supreme priest and intercessor.
  12. (Ro. 8:34, 1ª Co. 15:20)

  13. We believe in the blessed and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  14. (Jn. 14:2-3, 1ª Ths. 4:13-18, Acts 1:10-11)

  15. We believe that everyone who receives the Lord Jesus Christ by faith is born again through his divine word inspired by the Holy Spirit, in which they become children of God.
  16. (Jn. 1:12-13, 3:3, 1ª Pe. 1:23)

  17. We believe in the corporal resurrection of the just and unjust, the eternal blessing of the ones that are saved and the eternal punishment of the ones that are lost.
  18. (Jn. 5:24, 28, 29, Rv. 20:11-15)

  19. We believe that baptism is by submersion, as a symbolic act of our death, burial and resurrection with our Lord Jesus Christ.
  20. (Mt. 28:19, 3:6, Ro. 6:1-10)

  21. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking other tongues.
  22. (Acts 1:5, 2:1-33, 39, 10:44-46, 19:6)

  23. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and in the five ministries instituted by God for the Church.
  24. (1ª Co. chapter 12-13, Ef. 4:11-16)

  25. We believe and practice two ordinances:
    1. Baptism as an act of obedience, it does not give grace or salvation.
    2. (1ª Pe. 3:21, Mr. 16:16)

    3. The Holy Supper as a fellowship with the believers to commemorate the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ until he returns.
    4. (Mt. 26:26-29, 1ª Co. 11:23-26)
